Halloween

This Halloween we went to the Harvest Party at church where Charlotte had lots of fun getting her face painted, riding a pony and more...Isaac just slept in the Baby Bjorn the whole time. That was Friday night and on Saturday we went to a friend's house and went trick-or-treating. Charlotte (Belle) was thrilled to see Snow White there and spent the whole evening by her side.

Pumpkin Patch

We took our 4th annual trip to Bates Nut Farm with Charlotte this week, and thanks to me being on maternity leave, we were able to go on a weekday. I don't think I'll ever go on a weekend again! It was great...no crowds, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. Lots of Charlotte's friends came too, which was fun.

Charlotte's Prayer Tonight

Charlotte has her first day of preschool tomorrow...this was her prayer tonight:
"Dear Jesus,
Thank you for pacis (pacifiers--yes, she still sleeps with one at night), preschool, and pee-pee (yes, we're still in the midst of potty training). You're my best friend ever. Amen!

GJ's Visit

We did all kinds of fun things while GJ was here to visit...1st haircut and style, a trip to Seaport Village, and Coronado, to name a few.

Green Eggs and Ham

The other day I noticed Charlotte "reading" Green Eggs and Ham and rushed to record it, but unfortunately missed the first half. Here's the part of it I did get...

Ballet Class

Charlotte started her first ballet class a couple weeks ago and here's her progress so far...don't judge. She might not look like the next winner of So You Think You Can Dance, but just give her time. I think with about 15 more years of practice she just might be.

Summer Fun with Friends

Today we went over to Stacy's house for a water play day. The kids all loved it and had lots of fun. Charlotte's new thing is this really fake smile when we ask her to smile (she's doing it in the picture below...not sure how to get a real smile out of her now...oh well.

Family Vacation

Last week we took a short family vacation up to Mission Springs in Santa Cruz and then to San Luis Obispo for a wedding and to visit family. We had a great time...swimming in the pool, visiting the Santa Cruz boardwalk, getting Charlotte her first Marianne's ice cream, getting to see Uncle Rob, Uncle Ben, and Aunt Jane, along with cousins Amanda, Courtney, and Taylor. Charlotte also got to go to her first wedding, which was probably the highlight for her. The whole time all she wanted to do was give the bride a hug, and I had a hard time explaining to her how busy brides are on their wedding days and how she had to wait until the bride came by our table for her to get her hug. All in all, it was a great trip and we all had lots of fun.


We spent alot of time in the car on our trip as well...Charlotte was entertaining herself by singing "Shake Your Booty" (Rick taught her this,) so we got out the flip to record it, but by that point she just started being silly and cracking herself up.

4th of July Princess

These were the only pictures I managed to get on 4th of July...oh well. Charlotte saw her first fireworks and loved them. She was really sad when they were over.

Charlotte's "First" Ice Cream Cone

This isn't the first ice cream cone we've ever given her...this is just the first one she's ever eaten and enjoyed. In the past, she wouldn't even try it because it was "too cold" but this time she enjoyed thoroughly.
