We all had a great Christmas...especially Charlotte! She got lots of fun new toys, including her own princess castle, where she likes to sit and read her magazines...

My parents have a huge dog named Olaf, who Charlotte loves, and my mom decided to send out a picture of Charlotte and Olaf in her Christmas cards, so she did a little photo shoot. Just thought I'd share some of the pictures with everyone!

This weekend we got to go meet some of mom's college friends, Kim, Sarah, and Monica. We took over a Starbucks in Ocenside and I had fun playing with my new buddies, Brody and Anna while our moms got to catch up. We all had a great time.

Trip to Phoenix

For Labor Day weekend we went to Phoenix to visit our good family friends the Snyder's and Kohlmeier's. Besides being really, really HOT, we had a great time! Charlotte got to spend lots of time with her new buddy Canon, and she got to meet Kylie and brand new baby Addison too. Overall, it was a great weekend of relaxing and spending some quality time with great friends.

Summer Fun!

She's Walking!

Charlotte's been walking around for awhile now...here's a video of some of her first steps a few weeks ago. She's gotten much better now! The video's a little dark, but hopefully you'll get the general idea.There's actually not that much walking to see, a few steps at the beginning of the video and a few steps at the end. It's hard to get her to "perform" on command...but hope you enjoy!

Charlotte's 1st Birthday!

Well, the big day has come and gone, and I can't believe it's already over. Most of all, I can't believe Charlotte is already one year old! Time really does fly...

She did dive into the cake, and loved it! And it was a mess, ending up in her hair and everywhere else. It was so much fun though!

4th of July

Today was Charlotte's first time swimming. She loved it! The water felt great with how hot it's been recently, and it was a fun way to spend part of the day on the 4th of July.

This was my due date last year, and it's pretty crazy for me to look back and remember what it was like when we were anxiously awaiting Charlotte's arrival. And now I can't believe an entire year has gone by. The time really does go by fast.

Here she is just relaxing in her little floating device. I think she would have stayed in the water all day if we had let her!

But in the end she was all tired out, and went home for a nap.

And then off to a 4th of July party, where her friend James was very persistent in trying to give her a kiss. It was adorable!

A Year of Charlotte...

Trip to San Luis

Last weekend I got to go up to San Luis to visit my Uncle Ben at college. I also go to see my aunt Jane and cousin Amanda. We had lots of fun visiting all of the places my mommy used to hang out at. Here I am at Montana de Oro State Park. It was windy and cold!

A little update...

Charlotte's been getting to be quite a busy little lady...she's been crawling all around, pulling herself up on furniture and getting into everything she possibly can. She also gives hugs to all her stuffed animals and her mommy and daddy and most other people who ask.



And during naptimes and at the end of the day, she's all tuckered out! Her favorite sleeping position is with her little tush up in the air.

Easter in Oklahoma

This Easter I got to go to Oklahoma for the very first time to meet my Great-Grandpa Dawson and to spend time with my Grandma and Grandpa Jeldy. It was a little colder than I'm used to, but I sure did love getting to see everyone and I especially loved getting so much attention!

So these are my new friends Penelope and Manoah. I got to hang out with them for the first time a few days ago. To be honest with you they don't really do much. I guess since Penelope's only 5 weeks old and Manoah's only 2 weeks old they just can't do as much as I can. I'm hoping they'll get a little more exciting in the coming months...but they sure are cute!

Well, apparently having a blog is the thing to do these days, so we decided to join in the fun. Charlotte is 8 1/2 months old now, so you all have definitely missed out on lots of fun, but I'm sure there's a whole lot more to come! We're excited to keep everyone updated on the constant changes in her life and in our family. Hope you all enjoy!
